If you are anything like us, we crept towards the end of 2020 hoping that 2021 might be different, yet we find ourselves facing more uncertainties and another lockdown.
But this year can be different. Difficult circumstances do not have to determine our response.
2021 can still be a good year. This year can still be full of hope. Our strapline is to “Inspire HOPE for a FUTURE”, something that we strive to provide for all our students. Right now, we want to inspire hope for today.
Hope is not wishful thinking, neither does it mean that everything is wonderful. Hope can be the mere grit and determination that gets us through another day. Hope, as a verb, is an action, a plan, a strategy, it is what we do.
As we enter another national lockdown, we know the implications are different for everyone. As a company we remain fully operational, supporting students in whatever way we can. You can click here to find out more about the services we offer. With a slight sense of Déjà vu, we enter this lockdown with the assurance that we have everything in place to manage this! We can provide online learning for students who are unable to continue with face-to-face learning at this time. Where possible, we are continuing our sessions as normal with our students. Across the country we have connections with fantastic venues that are remaining open for us to use. It is absolutely essential that we continue to provide as much support as possible, for both the students and their families sake!
Through this time, we all need to take care of ourselves. Self-care not only helps US, but it also enables us to provide better support to those around us. When you know what helps you and you make the time to do it you will feel more able to tackle the day ahead. The NHS “Every Mind Matters” website has some good tips and resources to help through this time.
All our Staff and Education Specialists will be working hard to support our students and their families over the coming weeks and months, ensuring that learning can take place in the best way possible, but also providing support in a wider sense of wellbeing, safety, and security. They are empowering them to have hope, both for today and for the future.
As approved Tuition Partners for the National Tutoring Programme, we are also continuing to provide tutoring to schools where appropriate. We have been approved to provide online tuition for students in their home and will be working in schools with the more vulnerable and disadvantaged kids.
With the right support in place, we believe that children and young people can make progress during this time, not just in their learning, but in their social, emotional, and mental health development.
