Connecting Skilled Staff With Students Nationwide

Covering the UK, we are constantly looking for individuals who share our vision to engage the disengaged who have a genuine commitment to supporting students who are struggling or who have Special Educational Needs.

Students who are referred to Fresh Start in Education, come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.  Each education provision is unique, designed around the interests and needs of each student.

The four main areas we specialise in, are:

Absent from Education

A substantial number of referrals that we receive are to work with students who are either school refusers or have been excluded from education. This could be due to a whole number of reasons including bullying, social challenges, neglect or an inconsistent education history.

Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)

Students with SEMH, some as young as five years old, come with a wide range of difficulties including ADHD, CSE, Conduct Disorder, Anxiety, Anger Management, Attachment Disorder and Self-harming.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND & SEBD)

The majority of students with SEND/SEMH require some form of specialism and expertise. This can include Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ASD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Global Development Delay or Cognitive and Learning Delay.

Children in Care

Children in Care

There is an increasing demand on Local Authorities, not only to place children and young people in care, but to keep them in education. Whether the student is local, or placed out of county, we undertake a rigorous matching process to ensure suitable staff are able to achieve the aims of the provision.

Education Specialists with Fresh Start in Education have all the advantages of working part time or full time, employed or self-employed or on a sessional basis.  When a student is referred to us, careful matching takes place between the needs of the student and the experience and suitability of individual Education Specialists.

Sessions take place from one to five days a week, with a duration of three to five hours. In some instances, these may continue during school holidays.
