Work for FSiE

Our workforce is as varied as the students that we work with. We employ a variety of professionals whose backgrounds and experiences can range from Education to Internships, from Special Needs to Youth Offending Teams, from Mental Health to Social Care. Whatever our background, one thing unites us all.

We care.

This is no job for the faint hearted or authoritarians. This is a job for the flexible, imaginative, resolute, robust and tenacious. And, most importantly, those who understand that love or care to a child is spelt - T.I.M.E.

Our aim, as an interim provider, is to get the student into the best form of long term education for them.

We are not a school; we are not a long term solution.
Your role is to ensure – using your background knowledge, experience and skills – that the student reaches their destination. This will be some form of regular formal education which could be mainstream school, specialist education provision, college, apprenticeship, or even a suitable workplace.

This is not a job for just anyone. You need to really want to do it and have the skills and abilities to make a significant positive difference in a young person’s life.
Working hours are flexible and varied and you could work anything from five to twenty-five hours a week, depending on suitable students being referred in your area. You will be working with them one to one which may be in their home, but more likely somewhere in the community, a library perhaps, or a centre or even online. A few of our students need more than one adult to keep them safe, so occasionally we work two or even three to one at first.

We cover the whole of the UK and currently have over 250 staff working in a wide variety of locations throughout the nation.
If you’re still interested and feel that you would appreciate the autonomy and flexibility to teach effectively and see the real difference you are making, then we would very much like to hear from you.
