I wanted to share how incredibly moved I was by my stepson's first session with his new ES, BD.

He’s had a really difficult time lately. It's been a tough journey before he came to live with me and joined Fresh Start. So to see him genuinely light up today was overwhelming in the best possible way. He had such a brilliant time with BD that he insisted he stay right until the very end, even though it was just meant to be a short meet and greet. They ended up spending the full five hours together!

At one point, I was upstairs and I could hear him absolutely belly laughing with BD, the kind of laughter I haven’t heard from him in years. It brought tears to my eyes. For the first time in a long time, I felt this huge wave of hope. I’m just so grateful. Today showed me that he’s finally somewhere he can feel safe, supported, and happy.
